About the Job:
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join us either remotely in Germany or Office-Flex in Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Berlin or Düsseldorf for customers in the German Federal customer segment.
In this role, you will be the catalyst who creates possibilities, solves problems, and establishes working relationships with our customers. You'll discover and analyze customer’s business and technical needs and collaborate with the sales, technology specialists and technical delivery teams to help our customers benefit from value-driven business solutions built with Red Hat technologies and secure customer success.
As a Senior Solutions Architect, you combine a passion for technology with excellent communication and people skills as well as a strong sales acumen.
As part of this role, you’ll share your technical and methodical expertise by speaking on conferences, creating insightful blog posts, social media articles, publications, videos or podcasts - depending on your unique public communication style and preference.
You'll be a crucial part of the experience and success our customers have with Red Hat and customer success as well as being an ambassador for open-source technologies and an open culture are part of your team's mission.
This position is open as part-time (80% 32 hrs/week) as well as full-time (100% 40 hrs/week).
What you will do:
Provide technical pre-sales support for the development and design /adoption of complex offerings and solutions
Serve as a trusted advisor to the customer and assist technology stakeholders in setting and delivering on expectations
Identify customer initiatives and challenges to map customers needs with Red Hat solutions
Help define the account strategy with the broader account teams
Help research and write responses to the technical sections of requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and requests for quotations (RFQs)
Build C-level relationships with Red Hat's customers and strategic partners, alongside nurturing connections with Red Hat Champions within customer organizations. Your efforts will drive heightened loyalty towards Red Hat and foster widespread adoption of our solutions and Open Source principles.
Gain understanding of customer business and IT environments and collaborate with sales teams to assess the potential application of Red Hat's solutions
What you will bring:
A passion for open-source and ideally practical experience with open source offerings, projects or communities
3+ years of working in the german public sector and / or other regulated environments
3+ years of experience in customer facing technical pre-sales roles
5+ years of experience working in enterprise application architecture
Ability to engage in detailed conversations and impact customer decisions in architecture discussions
Deep understanding and experience in at least one of the following technical areas:
Multi-tiered Architectures, Microservice and Cloud-Native Application Architecture, AI UseCases, MLOps or IT Security and Compliance from SELinux to Application Security Strategies
Willingness to travel across the region as needed, following Red Hat’s guidelines
Excellent communication skills in English and German
