ABOUT THE ROLE – Please note this is a 12 month maximum term role
The Women and Girls Growth Manager will partner with Game Development teams to drive the delivery of the Women and Girls Action Plan. This role works towards achieving the AFL’s vision of equal opportunity for women to play, coach, umpire, officiate, administer, and govern the game of Australian Football in the community.
This is a 12-month maximum term role. The location for the role is flexible and may be based across VIC, NSW, NT, QLD or TAS.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Driving and monitoring the delivery of the Women and Girls Game Development Action Plan Phase 2 with a focus on increasing the number of girls and women playing, coaching, umpiring and leading through attraction and retention
- Supporting Women and Girls State Leads to implement the Action Plan initiatives
- Working with the relevant functional areas on the delivery of specific initiatives such as Women’s Coaching Month and the Women and Girls Community Football Charter
- Reviewing the impact of the Action Plan initiatives to assess any changes required
- Supporting the delivery of specific initiatives as required by the business
- Work with the AFL Commercial team to service Women & Girls Game Development related commercial agreements
- Contribute to key projects within and outside of core role
- Support and contribute to the success of the broader Game Development team
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Significant experience working across complex stakeholders
- Experience in project delivery
- Understanding of community football / participation programs or similar in another sport
- Well-developed verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively unsupervised
