Duties and Responsibilities
As Front Office Supervisor, you’ll support the Front Office Management team and ensure the smooth operation of front desk services. Your responsibilities include:
Assisting in supervising the front desk team, ensuring all staff are well-trained in guest service, property systems, and safety procedures.
Monitoring daily operations including guest registration, reservations, telephone services, and bell services.
Assigning daily tasks, managing shift schedules, and helping control labor costs within budget.
Handling guest check-ins/check-outs, reservations, and cashier transactions accurately.
Responding to guest complaints and service issues with professionalism and care, following established service recovery standards.
Promoting hotel services, facilities, and upselling rooms where possible to maximize revenue.
Ensuring the security of guest information, safe-deposit boxes, and financial transactions.
Supporting interdepartmental communication to maintain seamless guest service.
Performing other duties as assigned, such as concierge services and VIP guest support.
What We’re Looking For
A customer-focused hospitality professional with at least one year of front office or guest services experience in a hotel setting, including some supervisory experience.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead by example and support team development.
A positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Proficiency in using property management and reservations systems (PMS), with strong computer and math skills.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required; post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field is an asset.
Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an asset.
