CM3 Building Solutions is searching for an experienced Security Service Technician for our PA, NJ & DE territory. Excellent benefit package including health benefits effective on day of hire, paid time off, 401k, and much more.
The Technician role is responsible for servicing our Security customer base in CCTV, IP video surveillance system, access control systems, paging / intercom, master clock systems and fire alarm systems. General duties include inspection, troubleshooting, repair, light installation and maintenance of existing systems to ensure the customer’s installed systems are properly maintained and operating optimally.
Responsibilities:
- Directly interface and communicate with all levels of customer hierarchy from custodial staff and IT departments to facility management and/or owner.
- Respond to emergency service calls during working hours and after hours as required including on-site, remote technical support where applicable and/or future scheduled response. Operate independently while checking indicated points of trouble, analyzing the full requirements and proper operation of installed system, troubleshoot and adjust or repair systems as required to restore to original manufacturer or installer specification.
- Perform routine maintenance and diagnostics on installed systems including cleaning and adjustment to installed components as required per the Security Support Services Agreement with the customer.
- Complete and submit written service reports with our internal work management systems.
- Work closely with our internal office team and security coordinator for scheduling and proper handling of paperwork and time reporting.
- Make recommendations for improvement to existing systems or potential upgrades to existing systems as required.
- Light installation type services as required.
Typical Security System Types:- Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of video surveillance cameras and video management systems such as Avigilon, Hanwha, ExacqVision, Genetec, i-Pro and Verkada.
- Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of video surveillance cameras and video management systems such as Avigilon, Hanwha, ExacqVision, Genetec, i-Pro and Verkada.
- Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of various access control systems including Avigilon Unity, and Alta, LenelS2 Netbox, Genetec, Continental Access, AMAG, Verkada, Keri System, Keyscan, Kantech, Paxton Access, and Acre Security platforms including Feenics, Access It, PremiSys, and DNA Fusion.
- Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Public Address, Paging / intercom and master clock systems such as Telecor and AtlasIED integrated with Singlewire.
- Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of various intrusion systems such as DMP, Bosch, and Honeywell systems.
- Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of wireless electronic locksets from Schlage, Assa Abloy, and Salto.
- Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of computers and servers. Experience with installation troubleshooting and replacement of hard drives, motherboards, power supplies RAID
controllers, memory, processors and loading / configuration of various operating systems Windows 10 Pro, Windows 11, Window Server 2019 and 2022 operating systems.
- Service, test and inspect of firewalls, layer 2 and layer 3 network switches for optimal performance and security.
Qualifications:- Security Service background and experience
- 3 or more years Security/Access Controls/Alarms/Video business knowledge strongly preferred
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Advanced training and/or degree in electrical
- Electrical wiring background preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be detail oriented with ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize customer demands and workload.
