2nd Shift Cage Shift Manager
Salary: $65,000 although wage may vary depending on experience

Position Summary:
Directs the Shift Operations of the warehouse with particular emphasis on managing cage warehouse associates and implementing warehouse action plans. Handles all inbound, outbound, and inventory management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Provides direct daily supervision of cage associates to achieve prescribed operational objectives within established timelines and in accordance with quality, safety, inventory control and customer satisfaction guidelines.
- Develops and implements work schedules and assignments to meet customer demands.
- Tours the cages regularly to answer questions, evaluate operations and solve problems, and ensure compliance with safety, security and sanitation procedures.
- Recommends and implements improvements to cage operation programs and procedures.
- Ensures efficient utilization of equipment.
- Schedules and conducts staff meetings.
- Tracks and manages employee paid time off and absenteeism
- Participates in the interview process and makes hiring recommendations to the Operations Manager.
- Through coordination with Operations Manager, establishes employee goals, provides coaching and training, conducts performance reviews and performs disciplinary action.
- Ensures current and accurate inventory count and location for each account.
- Enforces and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and federal, state and local regulations.
- Establishes and maintains a professional and courteous relationship with all customers.
- Assists in ensuring the security of the facility and its employees, contents and surroundings.
Job Specifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work related experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Minimum of 3 years prior experience in leadership and supervisory roles; organization and planning.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and user of warehouse management system technology.
- Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office and software applications.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work efficiently with a professional, customer friendly attitude.
- Must be capable of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods.
- Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
