House Manager – Behavioral Health Urgent Care
- Salary Range: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour, based on relevant years of experience
- Location: Fort Collins, Colorado at our Longview campus
- Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Hours: Wednesday to Saturday 2:00PM – 12:30AM
Employees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential. Shift differentials are also available for evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
Role Overview:
Responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the 24/7 Behavioral Health Urgent Care at the Acute Care facility while on shift. This includes overseeing client movement within the walk-in clinic to ensure comprehensive assessments, appropriate crisis care, and efficient admissions, discharges, or transfers to other levels of care. Works closely with other House Managers and facility leadership to optimize bed utilization and coordinate admissions and discharges across all levels of care.
Essential Duties:
- Provides on-site oversight and leadership of the 24/7 Behavioral Health Urgent Care unit.
- Plans, organizes, and coordinates activities related to crisis assessments and facility admissions.
- Facilitates daily rounds and shift exchange huddles to maintain operational continuity, ensures optimal staffing, and upholds SHP’s quality of care standards.
- Optimizes bed utilization in collaboration with other House Managers across the acute care facility.
- Ensure the unit is fully staffed and operational, delivering consistent care aligned with SHP’s quality standards.
- Serves as the point person for client movement within the urgent care unit during assigned shifts, including coordination with external partners and service providers.
- Collaborate with utilization management staff to ensure reimbursable services are consistently delivered.
- Serves as the primary contact for coordinating facility admissions with acute care staff and external partners such as law enforcement and EMS and provides cross-unit coverage and support for other acute care units as needed.
- Collaborates with the acute care operations team to maintain continuity of operations and uphold service excellence across the unit.
- Responsible for managing the urgent care bed board in collaboration with medical and clinical teams to place clients in the appropriate level of care within the facility or externally as needed.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant health/human services field or other fields relevant to this work required
- Prior experience supervising teams/programs (administrative and/or clinical) is required
- More than five years of experience in a similar role required
- More than two years of experience leading teams/programs is required
- Demonstrated experience working in a community-based behavioral health setting, providing direct support or services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges required
Licenses and Certifications:
- CPR and First Aid certifications required at time or hire or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire required
Highly Desired:
- Master’s degree preferred
- Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred
