Job Summary

The Department of Global Health Equity is seeking a per diem Research Assistant to support ongoing research on child health and nutrition. The Research Assistant will work under the supervision of a senior investigator and project leads, contributing to epidemiological and population-based studies aimed at improving child growth and developmental outcomes. This position will also involve support for reporting, data management, and the development of new research proposals.

Essential Functions
• Support data collection, management, cleaning, analysis, and reporting related to child health and nutrition outcomes.
• Assist in managing study cohorts, including outreach, communication with participants, and coordinating follow-up.
• Contribute to progress reports and prepare descriptive statistics under supervision.
• Gather background literature and data to aid in developing future proposals related to stunting and child nutrition research.
• Work collaboratively with investigators and orient new staff as needed.
• Ensure all activities follow ethical and institutional guidelines.


 

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's Degree Science required

Experience
Relevant research and data management experience 1-2 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Careful attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.
- Intermediate computer literacy including database tools.
- Knowledge of data management programs.
- Ability to follow directions and exhibit professionalism, and work more independently.
