What we are looking for in a Special Systems Administrator:
- Hands-on experience with IP Telephony, Special Systems, IP Cameras, and Audio & Paging systems.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including switches, firewalls, LAN, and WAN environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex issues across multiple technologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong resourcefulness and a knack for creative problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and positive demeanor.
- Proven track record in customer-focused and high-traffic environments.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service that goes above and beyond expectations.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new applications, tools, and technologies.
- Professionalism in both attitude and appearance.
- Awareness of team dynamics and how changes may impact colleagues and customers.
What our Special Systems Administrators do:
- Install, configure, and maintain IP Telephony systems, IP Cameras, Audio & Paging systems, and Special Systems technology.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for switches, firewalls, and other network infrastructure.
- Respond to support requests and provide technical assistance via phone, email, or on-site.
- Test, certify, and document system installations to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and detailed documentation for all work performed.
- Use our incident management system to track service requests, troubleshooting steps, and communications.
- Follow established security and networking protocols and provide feedback for improvements.
- Immediately report any potential threats or security concerns to senior staff.
- Collaborate with vendor and senior team members to troubleshoot issues or source new equipment.
- Stay up to date with new technologies and best practices, both independently and with guidance from senior staff.
- Ensure customer satisfaction at every step, especially in fast-paced settings.
- Recognize when issues require escalation or referral to another team member and act accordingly.
- Share customer feedback and suggestions with internal teams to drive improvement.
- Proactively identify and recommend improvements to our procedures and processes.
