Qualifications

  • Required: Master's degree and BCBA certification with 3+ years of post-certification experience. Must have been with ABA Solutions for 18+ months, have experience with Hillsborough County Public Schools, and be a USF-approved practicum supervisor
  • Skills: Expertise in behavior analysis, the BACB® Ethics Code, BACB® Supervision Policy, and company policies



Job Duties

General

  • Manage all aspects of service provision and staff management
  • Set site or area-specific policies and disseminate to staff
  • Attend quarterly director meetings

 

Client Management

  • Assist with managing area/site referral logs, helping families with new client paperwork, and setting up caseloads for new analysts by contacting families and initiating intake paperwork
  • Oversee client services by managing client discharge summaries, following up on client and quality assurance concerns, and ensuring incident reports are sent to the office
  • Support challenging family interactions or complex communication issues

 

Staff Management

Recruitment & Training

  • Oversee the recruitment process, including interviewing and hiring new staff, and guide them through their onboarding
  • Provide initial and ongoing guidance to staff, serving as a key resource for questions, and offer monthly oversight to ensure they operate in accordance with company policies
  • Manage scheduling by finding cases for staff, facilitate cross-area/site communication (as needed), and assist staff in maintaining their case hours

Performance & Terminations

  • Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews for all area staff
  • Resolve and document performance issues
  • Implement disciplinary actions such as write-ups and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)
  • Address ethical concerns in your area, and manage all staff resignations and terminations

 

Administrative Duties

  • Act as a communication hub, relaying information between leadership and staff, and providing the office with feedback on challenges or ethical concerns
  • Follow up with staff to resolve ongoing administrative issues
  • Approve time off requests while ensuring client coverage
  • Complete a billing audit every other Wednesday
  • Report all staff workers' compensation claims to the office

 

The Hillsborough Area Director position is open to current employees, but may open to other candidates if an appropriate candidate is not identified internally
