WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Exemplify MCR’s values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
- Practice support and promote the Security Department mission statement.
- Observe and responds to emergencies, incidents, procedure violations, criminal, and other activities as they occur.
- Document and prepare accurate and complete written records and reports in response to incidents, procedure violations, or criminal activities as responded to, observed and/or witnessed.
- Interact with guests, vendors, suppliers, and team members to maintain a safe and friendly environment.
- Assist guests, team members and visitors within the guidelines set by the department.
- Safeguard property assets.
- Ensure proper handling of confidential information, reports, incidents, and materials.
- Monitor team members vehicles as well as ensuring they park in the proper designated areas.
- Issue parking violation notices to team members who have violated the parking policy.
- Operate company vehicle.
- May serve as training officer to new security staff, while maintaining and exhibiting excellent guest service
- Required to complete various training programs, such as CPR, first aid, defensive tactics, etc. after hire.
- Monitor and reports on the condition of each security vehicle, and equipment.
- May testify in court as needed regarding MCR related incidents.
- Creates, maintains, and facilitates a positive and safe work environment; promotes positive team member relations and reports issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Hold and maintain a valid WA State driver’s License.
- Formal security or law enforcement training, schooling, or certification preferred.
- Previous security, military, or civilian police officer training and/or experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Class IIIA gaming license.
HOW YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL
- Knowledge of the use of handcuffs, flashlights, oxygen tanks, and PPE.
- Knowledge of health & safety standards, and safety regulations as required.
- Skilled in operating a personal computer and applicable software, and/or other office equipment.
- Skilled in critical thinking, awareness, and problem-solving skills in every aspect of duties.
- Ability to learn, comprehend and follow detailed security procedures and instructions.
- Ability to document incidents and write up reports in an accurate and legible manner.
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to be assertive, confident, and professional attitude when interacting with guests and team members.
- Ability to enforce rules and regulations with diplomacy and tact.
- Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations.
- Ability to walk, stand and ride a bicycle for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally lift seventy-five (75) pounds to one hundred (100) pounds.
