- Hourly Employment: Roster positions are paid hourly and do not include benefits such as medical, dental, or vision insurance, life insurance, paid leave, or paid holidays.
- Limited Hours: Roster employees may work up to, but no more than, 1,000 hours in a 12 month period.
- Pension System: Roster positions are not eligible for membership in the city’s pension system.

The Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department, a four-time National Gold Medal Award winner, is seeking an enthusiastic AHOY Aerobics Instructor to lead free, low-impact aerobics classes for active adults ages 50 and up. AHOY, which stands for "Adding Health to Our Years," is offered at seven locations throughout Greensboro, promoting fitness and well-being in a fun, inclusive environment. If you're passionate about helping others stay active and engaged, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
As an AHOY Aerobics Instructor, you will:
- Lead 6-8 weekly low-impact aerobics classes, including strength training.
- Develop dynamic and engaging exercise routines tailored for active adults.
- Set up and break down equipment, including folding chairs as needed.
- Travel between seven recreation centers, requiring a flexible schedule and reliable transportation.
This position is a Non-Exempt under FLSA.
