Position Title: Community Coordinator (also hiring under titles such as Youth Specialist, Youth Wellness Mentor, and Teen Support Specialist)

Location: Mission Prep – Waterford, VA located in Loudoun County.

Position Overview

The Community Coordinator plays a central role in clients’ healing and recovery by supporting daily routines, modeling healthy boundaries, and empowering adolescents to build resilience through structure, skill-building, and meaningful connection. This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to be a part of a team that's redefining adolescent mental health care and helping teens and their families heal, grow, and move forward with hope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe and therapeutic milieu management.
  • Model appropriate social, emotional, and behavioral boundaries.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and life skills groups.
  • Mentor and guide clients in developing independence and resilience.
  • Collaborate with clinical and residential staff to support treatment plans.
  • Participate in experiential, recreational, and community activities.
  • Safely transport clients to scheduled activities and appointments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization inside of the residential facility.

Qualifications

  • Passion for working with adolescents in therapeutic or residential settings.
  • Strong communication, patience, and leadership skills.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and professional boundary-setting.
  • Experience in youth work, education, or behavioral health preferred.
  • Possess valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy which includes, but not limited to, the following requirements: 4 continuous years of driving experience, 21 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years.
  • Must pass ADP Selective Screening Services and other Federal/State background checks.
