SR. ACCOUNTANT I AT PRIMEFLIGHT

The Senior Accountant I will support accurate and timely financial reporting by performing routine accounting activities, assisting with month-end close processes, and maintaining financial records. The role will help ensure compliance with accounting standards, assist with audits, and offer input for process improvements. This position requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining compliance with financial regulations. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist in the preparation of month end and year end close processes 
  • Ensure accounting transactions adhere to US GAAP 
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with intercompany transactions 
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights on variances to budget and forecasts 
  • Prepare documentation and assist with annual audits 
  • Monitor financial data for accuracy and integrity 
  • Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and systems 
  • Maintain financial controls and ensure adherence to internal policies 
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned by management 
  • Work primarily in an office environment

  • Reconcile multiple bank accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Treasury and Operations teams to improve cash flow visibility and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain cash reconciliation schedules to support month-end and audit requirements.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to work in office, onsite, Monday-Friday 
  • Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required 
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience, public accounting experience is a plus 
  • CPA designation or working towards CPA a plus 
  • Experience with Sage X3 or similar accounting software is a plus 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently 
  • Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
  •  Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours on occasion to support our field operations
