About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse within our Health Care Services team, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients across various clinical settings. Your primary objective will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans that address both physical and mental health needs, including addiction recovery and treatment. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care, advocating for patient rights and providing education to support recovery and wellness. This role demands a compassionate and skilled professional capable of managing complex patient conditions, including wound care and telemetry monitoring, while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. Ultimately, your contributions will directly impact patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care within our healthcare facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state or region.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing care principles, patient advocacy, and clinical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Experience or certification in addiction treatment and recovery services.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify physical, mental health, and addiction-related needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans, including direct patient care.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and telemetry data to detect changes in condition and respond appropriately.
  • Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication management, and health maintenance strategies.
  • Advocate for patients’ rights and coordinate with healthcare professionals to facilitate addiction recovery and mental health services.
  • Document patient progress and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and uphold standards of nursing practice.

Skills:

The required skills such as mental health services, addiction recovery, and direct patient care are essential for assessing and addressing the complex needs of patients daily. Proficiency in wound care and telemetry allows for effective monitoring and management of patients with acute and chronic conditions. Patient education and advocacy skills enable the nurse to empower patients and families, fostering adherence to treatment plans and promoting recovery. Medical/surgical nursing expertise ensures safe and competent care delivery across diverse clinical scenarios. Preferred skills like nurse practitioner experience and specialized certifications enhance the nurse’s ability to provide advanced care and contribute to multidisciplinary treatment planning.
