The Opportunity
We are seeking an Aerial Sensor Technician who loves working with cutting-edge technology and is experienced in maintaining complex systems to ensure our geospatial data collection systems are operational and efficient.
This role is primarily based at our Wakefield Street office, with our fit-for-purpose workshop. Additionally, when required, approximately 5-10% of duties involve travel to site to provide field support to our operational teams anywhere in Australia or New Zealand, which can at times include weekend work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with Aviation Operations team and other stakeholders to ensure survey systems and equipment are prepared and maintained for geo data collection in a safe and efficient manner;
- Provide first line technical support to Survey Operations in Australia and New Zealand, from the office and in the field if required;
- Support and maintain systems involving embedded computers, lasers, optics, electronics, cameras, and navigation systems;
- Manage inventory and prepare freight for systems and spares;
- Install and demobilize systems in aircraft and provide equipment logistics support;
- Develop design modifications and improve maintenance documentation as needed.

You are a proactive problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments, possesses strong communication skills, and is committed to delivering high-quality support and maintenance for our advanced aerial systems.
We are looking for a team player who is available to be on-call for adhoc weekend support.
You will have the following experience:
- Skilled in diagnosing and analyzing complex system faults;
- Proficient in computer operations, troubleshooting, and networking;
- Strong communication skills and proficient in Microsoft Office;
- Excellent time management and adaptable to various work environments.
The following experience would be advantageous:
- Experienced in installing and setting up systems in aircraft.
