POSITION OVERVIEW:
Pay Rate: $21.00/hr - $22.00/hr
Shift timings: Continental rotation with 12-hour day shifts (07:00–19:00), totaling 84 hours every two weeks.
The candidate must be able to reliably travel to all site locations listed below:
- Scarborough - Markham Rd. and Milner Ave.
- Markham - Warden Ave. and Steeles Ave.
- Stouffville - Ninth Line and Main St.
Must not have a penicillin allergy (required for specific site assignments)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct audits to ensure security guards comply with company requirements.
- Manage scheduling and payroll for all security personnel across sites.
- Provide training, coaching, and discipline as needed.
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling, monitoring surveillance, responding to alarms, enforcing policies, and inspecting buildings.
- Document activities, observations, incidents, and conduct interviews; report environmental, health & safety, and fire hazards.
- Monitor and maintain card access and alarm systems, validate security IDs, and resolve software/hardware issues.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to all security alarms and breaches.
- Perform administrative duties assigned by Facilities Management to maintain site security and safety.
- Act as primary responder to emergency situations.
- Contribute to security projects, threat/risk assessments, and policy/procedure development.
- Ensure equipment functionality through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and evaluating new technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must not have a penicillin allergy (required for specific site assignments)
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
- 2+ years Security Supervisory or Team Lead experience in a security or facilities environment
- Proficient in creating and managing weekly staff schedules and payroll
- Strong knowledge of access control systems, CCTV, and alarm monitoring
- Experience in emergency response coordination
- Ability to manage multiple sites and teams effectively
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Adaptable and willing to work any shift or location to accommodate staffing needs
- Access to own personal vehicle
