The Channel Sales Manager will lead the company’s sales efforts in the assigned territory of the NY Metro market, specifically Long Island, Queens, Staten Island and specific accounts within Brooklyn, Bronx and northern New Jersey. This position, which reports to the Director of Sales – Retail Division, is responsible for the growth of existing accounts and new account development.
This position will serve U.S. Air Division and customers in the Northeast Region of the U.S., from a home-based office located in the region. Our ideal candidate is based in New York, New York, near a major airport.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual account plans that drive growth and profitability.
- Maximize sales, market share and sell-through performance in the assigned region.
- Achieve and exceed the apportioned annual quota.
- Communicate industry trends, competitive activity and sales updates on a continual basis to key stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Suggest programs necessary to achieve business objectives.
- Ability to analyze sales and provide accurate and timely forecasts.
- Develop sustained business relationships with accounts at every level in order to drive profitable sales volumes.
- Seek and establish new business within the retail sales channel.
- Provide strong customer support and intervention, including but not limited to:
- Backlog management.
- Shipment management.
- Expediting credit approvals.
- Inventory control.
- Damage/exchange control.
- Furnish reports which are concise, timely and in full compliance of the necessary report format.
- Develop and execute annual product/sales training seminars and provide continual in-store training support.
- Total preparation for any type of presentation, be well organized and contain proper content.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field.
5+ years of sales experience.
Experience in the appliance industry, air conditioning and/or high-end consumer products
Proven track record of driving new sales growth.
Possess exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
Strong communication skills, both internally and externally.
Able to conduct a product training seminar at any level.
Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment
Must provide strong dealer support and follow-through.
Supportive and interactive with fellow workers both in and out of the sales channel.
Must be capable of traveling extensively (roughly 50%)
HOW TO STAND OUT
- MBA or similar Advanced Education
- Technical experience in similar products (i.e. Technical Diploma in HVACR)
- HVACR product experience.
The pay scale for this position $79,900 - $138,024. Please note all pay ranges are broadly stated and any final offer is dependent on factors such as location, direct experience, market guidance and internal equity, among other qualifying criteria.
