This position is responsible for managing the procurement efforts of the generating station related to, including implementation of strategies to procure good and services necessary for operation and maintenance of the generating facility, driving sustainable cost reductions through contract, sourcing, and invoicing processes. The position may also provide contract negotiation and administration services to multiple company Power Generation sites or support groups.
Responsibilities:- Implementation of strategies to procure good and services necessary for operation and maintenance of the Power Generation facilities, driving sustainable cost reductions through contract and sourcing processes.
- Develop sourcing strategies for contracts spend of high complexity and/or magnitude.
- Manage supply chain strategies to ensure integration with business planning and budgeting cycles.
- Exhibit market dynamics and trend knowledge, negotiation and contracting expertise, and an understanding of Generation engineering, operations, and maintenance initiatives.
- Act as strategic interface with suppliers and drive development of strategic supplier relationships and performance management through the Quarterly Business Review process.
- Ensure alignment, anticipate changes, and drive activities based on supply, market changes, and recommendations of stakeholder teams.
- Ensure and promote cooperation and communication between internal stakeholders and participating business units.
- Conduct regular assessment of business partner requirements and matching procurement plans to meet/adapt to business needs.
- Identify, develop, and implement supply chain initiatives and process improvements for respective areas.
- Develop competitive solicitation, bid evaluation, and negotiations materials and support bid evaluation, negotiation strategy development, and negotiation execution.
- Lead or co-lead contract and price negotiations with suppliers.
- Develop and track KPIs to drive improvement of safety, reliability, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Work with employees to establish individual development plans and foster a supportive work environment conducive to career growth and development.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain counterparts to drive best practices in support of operational goals.
- All other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, accounting, economics, finance, law, or engineering.
Experience
Five years of progressive responsibility in supply chain, financial planning, budgeting, accounting, engineering and/or law.
Licensure / Other Qualifications
Valid driver’s license.
