Essential Duties & Responsibilities |
- Supervises import/export, decoration and oversees inventory.
- Contributes to daily scheduling meetings.
- Assist in the reconciliation of daily negative on hand quantities and resolving the root cause of the problem.
- Interface with freight carriers as needed to help resolve logistics issues as they come up.
- Perform physical inventory counts and compare results with system data. Counts must cover all locations for individual SKUs to ensure the entire system is correct for that SKU. Changes cannot be made to a location without all locations being verified.
- Responsible for being aware of any cost saving initiatives for warehouse space requirements.
- Assist Supply Chain Manager with the maintenance of inventory at adequate supply levels based on orders, production schedule and forecast.
- Fix pallets with scanning and labeling errors.
- Maintain storage areas by organizing floor space and recommending improvements.
- Ensure proper scanning of products to maintain accurate inventory and ensure FIFO methods are being followed.
- Perform monthly inventory on raw materials and finished goods.
- Performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate them.
- Assist customers and customer service with carrier information as requested. Daily management of staging area to include: Product returned to staging area from production floor after a change – over is tagged/stored correctly, accurate tracking of pack and pallet trailer inventories/locations, maintain target inventory levels in staging area to prevent any shutdowns on the production floor.
- Responsible for receiving product and raw materials into the warehouse accurately and following procedures.
- Daily management of staging area in imports to include, product returned to staging area from production floor after a change-over is tagged/stored correctly, accurate tracking of pack and pallet trailer inventories/locations, maintain target inventory levels in staging area to prevent any shutdowns on the production floor.
- Follow safety regulations by completing and documenting the daily forklift inspections, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, and performing all duties safely about fellow employees and yourself.
- Research discrepancies between physical and system counts and conducts searches in order to locate inventory. Must report findings on discrepancies to Operations leadership (Managers and Director) prior to making manual adjustments.
