JOB OVERVIEW
As a Real Estate Development Manager, you will identify and support the bringing to market, long-term land development opportunities for commercial, industrial, and residential development. Reporting to the Director, Real Estate Policy, Strategy and c Development, you will collaborate directly with other division managers regarding optimizing land use of NCC assets for defining and pursuing various activities to develop and implement long-term land development projects.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION 
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in business administration, real estate, engineering, planning, commerce, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

EXPERIENCE 
Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in real estate projects requiring expertise in market knowledge (conditions and participants), development opportunities multi-stakeholder negotiations, transactions, and agreements.

KNOWLEDGE
•    Of commercial leasing and land development principles and parameters.
•    Of real estate market conditions and stakeholders.
•    Of urban planning and development in the City of Ottawa and the Ville de Gatineau. 
•    Of commercial land development and leasing. 
•    Of real estate transaction negotiation.

ABILITIES

•    To build well-developed business cases while working strategically.
•    To resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively with other stakeholders. 
•    Meet tight deadlines and timelines while managing multiple deliverables.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT    
•    Possess or eligible to obtain Secret security clearance.
•    Linguistic profile: Bilingual BBB
•    Position is in the National Capital Region. The candidate must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace at 40 Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
