- The PE Supervisor position serves in a relief capacity supervising PE Industries located at Elayn Hunt Correctional Center (EHCC), Dixon Correctional Institute (DCI), Allen Correctional Center (ALC), Raymond Laborde Correctional Center (RLCC), Southwest Transitional Work Program (SWTWP) and PE Headquarters Warehouse. Industries include but are not limited to the following: Cleaning Solutions, Office Seating, Embroidery, Wood Furniture & Restoration, RLCC Clothing Production and SWTWP Clothing Production.
- This position offers an opportunity to gain a comprehensive view of the various industry operations PE offers at facilitates across the state while assisting others furthering PE’s mission.

Position Duties
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience for a maximum of four years.

The PE (Relief) Supervisor position requires supervising inmate workers and monitoring performance and quality of products produced, ensuring safety, resolving issues and maintaining compliance with regulations.
Work for (support):Prison Enterprises is an ancillary “Enterprise Fund”, operating entirely on a self-generated revenue with a staff of approximately 68, operating over 30 individual cost centers at 7 correctional facilities across this State, along with a Headquarters location in Baton Rouge. This position is vital in our ability to accurately and timely deliver PE’s finished goods and agricultural commodities statewide.

Appointment Type: PROBATION, or PROMOTION OF A PERMANENT, CLASSIFIED LOUISIANA STATE EMPLOYEE
- Current permanent status classified LA State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if accepted.
- An employee selected for a promotion may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.
- This posting may also be used to fill a vacancy as a temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.
Compensation: The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make at each level over their career and NOT the amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.

- This is a 24 hour facility.
