POSITION SUMMARY:

Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, or other financial activities within the company. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accurate accounting records.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Create and post journal entries to the general ledger
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, as assigned
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules for internal/GAAP books, federal tax, and state tax, including asset additions, transfers and disposals
  • Expense account variance analysis at month-end closing, as assigned
  • Create required reports for management
  • Assist with requests from various departments and management
  • Assist with the preparation of various tax returns, which may include personal property tax, sales/use tax, gross receipts tax, and franchise tax returns
  • Assist with the annual abandoned property escheatment process
  • Record semi-annual physical inventory adjustments
  • Prepare various external audit schedules and analysis, as assigned
  • Treats patients and co-workers consistent with the NextCare Mission Statement, Vision, Values and Performance
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or described by Company

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance

Experience: Minimum of entry-level work experience in Accounting

Skills: Good analytical and problem solving skills. Strong time management skills. Detail oriented with ability to work as a team player and prioritize workload to complete tasks on time. Strong aptitude with numbers. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: CPA or CPA candidate

Experience: Work experience in Healthcare Accounting or the Healthcare Industry
