INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the Industrial Electrician will be a self- starter with a “Can Do” attitude and the ability to adapt in a fast paced, dynamic, continuous 4 x 4, 12-hour shift schedule work environment.
Terms of Employment: This is a full-time position in New Annan, PEI
Language of Work: English
Salary Range: $26.11 - $37.30
Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment
- Follow all safety and food safety policies and procedures;
- Analyze, inspect, repair, troubleshoot, advise and maintain electrical systems throughout Cavendish Farms facility including all production and facility equipment;
- Day to day maintenance of equipment;
- Trouble shooting, preventive and predictive maintenance;
- Involvement in projects and new equipment installations;
- Participation in or conducting training on familiarity with equipment.
- Be willing and able to learn all aspects of the business inside of all departments;
- Communicate with production personnel and technical staff within maintenance and suppliers;
- Installations of other electrical/electronic-related functions
Qualifications
- Must possess Industrial Red Seal/ Block Electrician Certificate.
- 2-5 years of experience in the electrical field
- Experience in instrumentation and/or electronics would be considered an asset;
- Familiarity with CMMS would be considered an asset
- Previous PLC experience, including installation and troubleshooting preferred
- Ability to work all rotation shifts, weekends and overtime as required
- Willing and able to work in various work environments i.e. heat, cold, wet, etc.
- Ability to work with a minimum supervision
- Ability to change electric motors and switches as required
