About the role
Join the Business Training team in the Specialist, Training position. In this role, you will support the design, development, and implementation of internal client training, with a particular focus on training in real estate finance.
This is a temporary position of 12 months.
What you’ll do:
- Design, develop and deliver program-specific training in real estate financing in a virtual and in-person setting, with an additional focus on the ongoing monitoring of learner progress.
- Liaise internally with clients and managers to determine critical areas requiring learning resources and skills development and identify best practices and methodologies for meeting internal client training needs.
- Ensure training and resource material content meet client needs by measuring the effectiveness, usefulness and business impact of training programs and initiatives and reporting results to senior management.
- Establish and maintain key relationships with program area subject matter experts and internal and/or external stakeholders.
- Present strategic plans, training, and other materials to internal audiences for approval and/or information purposes.
What you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and practical experience in underwriting, including CMHC Multi-Unit Mortgage Loan Insurance and/or direct lending products/programs (National Housing Strategy), including Multi-Unit real estate.
- Demonstrated understanding of CMHC Multi-Unit Mortgage Loan Insurance and/or direct lending products/programs (National Housing Strategy), including Multi-Unit real estate underwriting and analysis experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience in researching and developing content for the purpose of information dissemination.
- Effective facilitation and negotiation skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to speak and write clearly and succinctly to inform a variety of audiences.
- In-depth knowledge of the program areas being supported and related social, economic and political trends that impact those areas.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
It would be great if you also had:
- An experience in designing, developing, and delivering training programs—preferably in real estate finance or a related field.
- Bilinguism (English and French).
