Director, Global EMECH & PCB Category (m/f/d) chez Harman International

About the RoleThe Director, Global EMECH & PCB Category will manage and make critical decisions on all aspects of the global supply base including contracts, commercial/ pricing, supply assurance, innovation, and conflict resolution.  The successful candidate will develop and execute category strategies through alignment with HARMAN business units, engineering, quality, and manufacturing activities. Requires knowledge of the business units technology and product roadmaps and specific expertise in the procurement of category components and manufacturing cost structure.  The role requires a sophisticated level of relationship management interfacing with business unit presidents and leaders of global suppliers, requiring balancing of interests to maintain mutually beneficial relationships.  This person will be the senior escalation/communication point for HARMAN and the supply partner. Your TeamThis position will have 6 direct reportsWhat You Will DoDevelop, drive and own global procurement strategies that align with business objectives and support growth and profitability.Build and own appropriate senior level supplier relationships with category supply baseCoordinate the senior level engagement between procurement, supply chain functions and senior stake holders within the HARMAN automotive SBUs.Working collaboratively throughout the value chain, drive innovation, agility, cost, quality, business continuity and sustainability through Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management and flawless executionLead effective supplier negotiations and event driven cost reductions to meet annual cost reduction goals and Should Cost targets.Conduct consistent commercial terms/ conditions and present a single unified HARMAN International interface to the supply base.Drive supply base optimization and new supplier development to maximize category leverage    Establish goals, improvement plans, business reviews and monthly reporting related to areas of responsibility.Develop staff through training and succession planning processes to maximize their potential for the benefit of individual and companyWhat You NeedMinimum 10+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, and Supply Chain Management preferably in the Automotive industryBachelor’s Degree in business or technical related fieldProven experience and ability to lead diverse global teams to achieve cost, quality, fulfillment, innovation, and time to market commitments.Strong negotiation and relationship building skills.Ability to speak clearly and express self well in groups and in one-to-one conversations.Demonstrate resourcefulness to effectively leverage and focus resources across organizational/ geographic boundaries.What is Nice to HaveMaster´s degreePrevious Electronics/ Mechanical/ Outsourcing category sourcing experienceWhat Makes You EligibleBe willing to travel up to X%, domestic only OR domestic and international travelBe willing to work in an [office, manufacturing facility, client-site} OR This role is eligible to work remotely full-time with occasional trips into the X office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice)What We OfferFlexible work environment, allowing for full-time remote work globally for positions that can be performed outside a HARMAN or customer locationAccess to employee discounts on world-class Harman and Samsung products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, etc.)Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN UniversityCompetitive wellness benefitsTuition ReimbursementAccess to HARMAN Campus Fitness Center and CafeteriaAn inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development#LI-Hybrid#LI-NR3 Postuler maintenant
