Position Overview:

We provide treatment for babies and children with a range of diagnoses, including but not limited to developmental delay, sensory processing disorders, learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, feeding difficulty. Opportunity for program development as we build our pediatric therapy services to support children and families in the East Bay. Seeking family-centered therapist with excellent communication skills, creative thinking, and consistent use of evidence-based practice. Candidates with pediatric feeding experience are preferred, though not required.

Expertise skills for our Pediatric Occupational Therapist:

Certification and/or Registration: Registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT)
Three or more years of clinical experience in a pediatric therapy setting.
Responsibilities include:

Administer and interpret standardized evaluations, develop treatment plans, maintain treatment notes and goal progress. 
Develop and modify home programs for children demonstrating developmental strategies for perceptual, motor, and sensory improvement.
Provide real-time feedback to families and make appropriate recommendations following treatment sessions​

    EDUCATION:
    Other: Graduate of accredited occupational therapy program.

    CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
    OT-Occupational Therapist

    BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

    DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC LICENSURES & CERTIFICATIONS:

    Department: Home Health - DL-Valid Drivers License

    Department: Home Health - INS-Auto Insurance

    TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
    2 years of recent relevant experience.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
    Critical thinking, complex problems solving, decisive judgement and ability to work independently.

    Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.

    Must be able to work in demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities completing work duties within expected timelines and requirements.

    Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.

    Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service and community relations abilities.

    Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills.

    Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement.

    Pay Range is $61.92 to $77.39 / hour

    The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
