Holy Cross, an Independence Mission School, is currently seeking candidates for an open Middle School Math Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. 

Successful candidates:

• Model outstanding character with a commitment to the character development of our students.
• Set high behavioral and academic expectations for students.
• Implement effective classroom management systems and maintain a positive, respectful, productive culture of learning.
• Deliver engaging and effective math lessons to students at various skill levels, using data to inform instruction, and providing additional support or advanced challenges as needed.
• Communicate with parents regularly about student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns.
• Be an enthusiastic learner, committed to his or her own growth as an educator, who applies skills learned through coaching, grade level teamwork, and professional development.

Experience:

• Experience teaching diverse learners and differentiating instruction (preferred)
• Experience working with children and communities in an urban setting (preferred)

• Mathematical aptitude and a passion for math education (preferred)

• Experience teaching or working with children in an educational setting (preferred)

• A track record of leading students to successfully achieve academic and behavioral expectations.

Certification, Degrees, and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (required)
• Clearance on all required background checks (required)
