JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Antler Care Assistant Director
Department: Anter Care/Administration
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Antler Care
Job Goal:
To coordinate district and site Antler Care programs to be in compliance with the Department of Human Service regulations. To monitor students in a safe, orderly, and positive environment before or after school.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversight of all site Antler Care programs and facilities
- Monitor assigned students in the locations and at the times designated.
- Plan a program for before and after care that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students assigned.
- Create an environment that is conducive to the interest and development of the students.
- Prepare for the students enrolled in the program and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior.
- Encourage students to set and maintain standards of expected behavior.
- Employ a variety of activities that are consistent with the physical limitations of the location and the needs of the students involved.
- Address the learning diversities of all students on a regular basis and seek district assistance, as required or needed.
- Adhere to district policy.
- Maintain accurate and complete records as required.
- Attend staff meetings as required.
- Responsible for organizing and administering the program to conform with state law and policies and procedures of the school building and the Superintendent.
- Abide by all district, state and federal laws, policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality with all school and student information.
- Maintain all compliance documents.
- Organize all activities.
- Assign duties to Antler Care teachers as needed.
- Maintain all food service storage and sanitizing all equipment and utensils.
- Must hold valid certification for CPR training
- Order supplies, materials, and food for programs
- Monitor all DHS policies, procedures, and reports
- Ensure Antler Care is fully staffed at each site daily
- Coordinate and staff all substitutes for program daily
- Communicate with parents and patrons Antler Care program openings and information
- Maintain student/parent information portal
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Responsible for assisting in the organization, administration and supervision in the areas of the school district childcare program. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Antler Care Director.
EQUIPMENT:
Ability to use computer and computer related programs and other technologies needed to perform essential job functions. Use standard automotive and telephone.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Travel to school District buildings and professional meetings as required.

- Ability to plan budgets and use the mathematical skills required to do so.
- Maintain accurate records and support documentation for projects under the supervision of the position.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE:
Minimum: High School Diploma or GED Child Care Director’s Credential Experience in coordinating or directing a child care facility. Administrator certification or equivalent experience preferred.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Minimum of BS or BA in Education from an approved accredited college or university and must hold a valid Oklahoma teaching certificate preferred.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Administration and Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
EXPERIENCE:
Successful experience managing or directing childcare.- Successful supervisory experience preferred.
