Pomerene Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Responsible Pharmacist with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy
- Direct all pharmacy operations including inpatient, outpatient, and clinical services.
- Develop, Manage and optimize the hospital's 340B program, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with medical staff and administration to improve medication access and cost-efficiency.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Maintain inventory control, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures aligned with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: PharmD
- Ohio Pharmacist license: Active in good standing.
- Hospital pharmacy experience 8-10 years with 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing a 340B program.
- Strong understanding of rural healthcare dynamics.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with split billing software and third-party administrators.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and pharmacy automation tools, including pyxis.
- Ability to train and mentor staff in compliance and best practices.
