Certified Medical Assistant (Part-time Pediatrics) chez Heritage Valley Health System

Do you love working with kids? If so, we want to talk with you! HV Pediatrics is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a PT role. Office locations: HV Pediatrics Chippewa primarily but may include time in Hopewell/Beaver as needed. Work hours: Standard office hours are Mon-Fri 8-5p; Sat 8-1pm and evenings 10-7pm rotation schedule. Applicant will work a minimum of 20-24 hours per week.  Prior pediatric office experience a plus.

Collects vital signs and patient history, collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests, administers injections and medications as directed by provider in addition to other clinical tasks.  Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations and scheduling appointments.

Required

High School graduate or equivalent.  Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA), CPR Certification, Computer experience, Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred

Medical Assistant diploma or degree program.  Minimum of one year medical assisting experience.
