The City of Minot is accepting applications for the position of Airport Operations & Maintenance Technician I at the Airport, with an application deadline of Wednesday, October 8th. This position is open to all qualified internal and external applicants. Please include Resume with References. 

Nature of Work

This is entry-level technical work in maintaining airport facilities grounds, runways, taxiways, and aircraft parking ramps and associated equipment. The personnel in this position must be available to work a flexible schedule that covers 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to include holidays. The work is performed under continuing supervision of the Airport Operations Foreman. Please see attached Job Description for complete job details.

Education, Experience, Other Requirements

• Graduation from high school and experience in general maintenance work, construction, medium or heavy equipment operation, medium or heavy equipment operation; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Preferred education with a Bachelor’s degree in Airport or Aviation Management. Preferred experience having worked at a commercial service or military airport.
• Possession of a valid North Dakota Class B driver's license, with air brake endorsement or the ability to obtain one within one year of employment. 
• Pass a fingerprint-based background check and maintain federally mandated security clearance required to work at an airport.

Compensation and Benefits

• The assigned salary range for this position under the 2025 City of Minot Annual Pay Plan is a Grade 52, which is $22.02 per hour- $32.69 per hour or $45,799-$67,990 annually.
• This is a full time, FLSA Non-Exempt position eligible for overtime.
