Candidate Profile

STRENGTH

• 1+ year of proven, recent experience teaching strength-based classes in a group fitness setting.

• Personal Training certification from an accredited organization strongly encouraged.

• Interested in leading circuit + HIIT-style classes that align with the B/SPOKE STRENGTH structure, balancing freedom with consistency for clients.

• Ability to program all-level classes supported by energetically matched music.

Requirements Across All Formats

To be considered for training in a new format, instructors must:

• Be in good standing (meeting performance and employee expectations).

• Complete an application + audition process (includes internal reference check).

• Have taught their most recent format actively for at least 6 months.

Additional expectations:

• Coachable, receptive to feedback, and passionate about teaching.

• Ability to consistently deliver high-quality client experiences.

• Strong brand knowledge and commitment to connection.

• Commitment to DEIB values through daily actions and participation in studio initiatives.

• Promote and maintain B/SPOKE’s culture of energy, collaboration, and teamwork—on and off the mat/mic.

Auditions & Training

• Auditions: In-person at B/SPOKE Boston studios on October 3rd at 6:30pm at our SOUTH BOSTON studio (make up audition available if necessary).

• Training: Combination of virtual + in-person sessions with our Training Team.

  • Includes 15-20 hours of format-specific training + small group coaching.

  • Attendance at all training sessions required (may miss up to 1 in-person or group sessions).

  • Take 2 B/SPOKE classes/week in your training format (in person or On Demand).

  • Reliable music device (not a cell phone, e.g. laptop).

Availability Expectations

• Willingness to add 2 new classes/week in the new format (in addition to 2 in your current format), including at least one weekend class.

• Openness to subbing opportunities upon training completion.

• Reliable transportation + flexibility to travel.

• Current CPR/AED Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Interview & Audition Process

1. Submit online application.

2. Audition at B/SPOKE Studios. 

3. Internal reference check.

4. Complete B/SPOKE Instructor Training.

5. Final demo at B/SPOKE Studios (up to 2 opportunities).

6. Receive offer and/or feedback.
