What will you do:
- Lead and manage nationwide sales operations for the Sports Medicine franchise, ensuring achievement of organizational sales objectives.
- Develop and execute effective direct sales strategies while providing strategic direction to sales personnel across India.
- Build, manage, and optimize distribution channels to drive growth, ensuring channel partner alignment with performance objectives and compliance with IC SOPs and FCPA requirements. Establish competencies, KPIs, and processes (sales execution, lead management, dealer management) to create a high-performance sales organization.
- Provide strong leadership through clear vision, effective communication, coaching, and corrective actions where necessary.
- Strengthen customer relationships by developing long-term partnerships within the orthopedic surgeon community.
- Drive talent management by ensuring effective hiring, orientation, training, development, and retention of sales staff to build a high-performing team.
- Conduct regular field visits, performance reviews, and appraisals to ensure accountability and results and monitor healthcare and market dynamics, proactively adapting strategies to counter competitive pressures and align with emerging opportunities.
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts, consistently achieving or exceeding targets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and other departments to address key business issues while ensuring compliance with policies, including FCPA.
- Maintain competitive market intelligence to adjust and refine sales strategies. Represent the organization at clinical meetings, seminars, and industry conferences.
- Contribute to the India sales leadership team by shaping strategic direction, policy, and long-term growth of the Sports Medicine franchise
What you need:
- Graduate/Post-graduate/MBA in any discipline.
- 13–18 years of progressive sales experience in implant sales across multiple regions.
- Strong conceptual and practical understanding of sales and business management, with the ability to apply broader organizational principles to resolve complex issues beyond immediate areas of responsibility.
- Proven experience in managing end-to-end business responsibility, including leadership of multiple teams of managers and professionals, workforce planning, and operational oversight.
- Demonstrated financial accountability, including ownership of independent budgets and achievement of revenue/profitability targets.
- Established presence in the medical community; recognized and respected by customers, key opinion leaders, and external stakeholders.
