Your role

Do you have a passion for the environment and want to directly impact your surroundings? Are you well-organized and detail-oriented? We're looking for an Environmental Compliance Analyst to:

• Lead UBS's response to external ISO 14001 surveillance and recertification audits in Americas region
• Coordinate and manage internal environmental audits across eleven core UBS locations in Americas
• Partner with facilities management teams to ensure environmental legal and regulatory compliance related to building operations
• Support facilities management teams with core EMS documentation and deliverables as part of a global framework, annually updating templates, providing guidance, ensuring timely completion
• Collaborate across business functions and build relationships with partners across the Group Human Resources & Corporate Services (GHRCS) organization
• Support or lead ad hoc projects at both the regional and global levels, helping UBS achieve its ambitious environmental targets
• Manage environmental audit vendors, ensuring timely responses to UBS inquiries and deliverables, proper management and payment of invoices, management of logistics and travel related to internal and external audits
• Communicate team accomplishments internally across a variety of platforms and formats, producing an assortment of reports and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Lead regional awareness, engagement, and communication efforts, supporting local events, and bringing our story to end users across the region and the globe
• Support Environmental Data Analyst during external ISO 14064 GHG data verification audits
• Collaborate with colleagues from the environmental management specialist team across the globe

• New York: the salary range for this role is $85000 to $105000

Your team

You'll be working on the In-House Environmental Management team in New York City. We run UBS’s Environmental Management System (EMS) for the Americas region, certified to ISO 14001 and ISO 14064 international standards, helping to reduce the environmental impact of our building operations.

Your expertise

• bachelor’s degree or equivalent; with background in environmental management systems, environmental legal, or regulatory compliance preferred
• ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization
• proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively
• excellent organization skills and detail-oriented
• strong communicator, both verbal and written
• proficient in Mircosoft Office to include: Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Word
• resilient team player with positive attitude; known for can-do approach to tackling daily tasks
• ability to travel to UBS home office locations, in the Americas region, 2-4 times a year to support with audits
