What to Expect
The Manager, Commercial Dealer Audit will oversee the Commercial Audit team responsible for the wholesale inventory audit process to ensure compliance and minimize credit risk. This role will act as a liaison between HCA, and 3rd party audit vendor and their field audit staff to identify risk issues arising from floorplan audits taking appropriate collection or corrective action and notifying management of issues.
What You Will Do
1. Audit Oversight
· Manage the wholesale audit process to ensure compliance in order to minimize risk.
· Identify risk issues arising from floorplan audits and take appropriate action including coordinating with account managers and sales team to work with dealers to counsel and rectify poor audit results.
· Monitor daily payment activity and trend reports and ensure collection of due or past due payments according to HCA repayment terms.
· Travel to dealers to conduct on-site audits and dealer accounts as required.
· Notify and work across commercial credit teams, and sales team on payment trend abnormalities.
· Ensure accurate audit results are distributed, and open audit items and unreconciled dispositions are resolved in a timely manner.
2. Audit Schedule
· Coordinate and meet with Commercial regions to review and recommend changes to audit scheduling.
· Review Risk Gauge reporting tools to ensure that audits are being conducted according to required frequency settings and auditor rotation cycles and adjust schedules with regions and audit vendor accordingly.
· Ensure monthly audit schedule is completed and distributed timely.
· Coordinate with regions and audit vendor on schedule adjustments and emergency or high frequency schedule changes.
· Act as liaison between dealers, HCA and audit vendor on any audit related performance issues that arise.
3. Lead, mentor, and develop team members by providing direction, performance feedback, and support to ensure effective collaboration, professional growth, and achievement of organizational and personal goals.
What You Will Bring
· Minimum 5-7 years of experience in operational inventory audits.
· 0-2 years of supervisory experience or leading teams.
· Auto industry experience a plus.
· Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
· Proven ability to troubleshoot and provide recommendations to resolve issues.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with high-level dealership management.
· Must be flexible and willing to work outside regular work hours to provide audit support for team members.
· Ability to lead, coach and develop direct reports.
· Team oriented, strong interpersonal skills.
· Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
· Ability to travel overnight to high risk or default dealers to conduct on site audits, as well as analysis and monitoring of default accounts
Work Environment
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an at home and office environment.
The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
