SUMMARY OF JOB:

This position exemplifies delivery of patient experience and assumes all responsibilities of coordinating surgical procedures for inpatient and outpatient services. The Position assumes advanced office tasks including computerized scheduling templates, preauthorizing procedures or hospitalization, and coordinating as well as scheduling surgery.  Works professionally as a team member, coordinates projects or selected office clerical functions as delegated by Office Manager and assists with other special office functions as requested.

 

This position allows for coverage of Receptionist II, and III, including: answering phones, scheduling appointments, gathering personal data and insurance information and entering patient appointments and demographic information.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical office setting required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding.
  • Knowledge of insurance plans.
  • Computer skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills.
