Notre Dame of Maryland University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions is seeking applicants for Assistant Professor level in Ambulatory Care/Community Practice, with emphasis on directing the Care Lab component of the programs curriculum.
The Director of the Care Lab has responsibilities for oversight of 8 clinical laboratory courses that span the P1, P2, and P3 years of the SPHP curriculum. This requires coordination of curriculum, teaching faculty, external standardized patients, laboratory assistants and all drug and supply inventory and purchases in addition to teaching in this lab sequence and other courses in the program. In addition, they would have didactic curriculum responsibilities, in various courses throughout the year.
A component of active pharmacy practice may be considered based on the interest of the individual.
Successful applicants must be a graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy with a Pharm.D. degree and at least five years of pharmacy practice. Experience in leadership and/or management is preferred. All candidates must have excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills. They should also demonstrate a commitment to teaching and scholarship, be highly motivated, be a team player and have a constructive approach to faculty and institutional affairs.
