We are seeking a Post Anesthesia Care RN, also referred to as a PACU nurse in the recovery room area, for our post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). The PACU RN, or Recovery Room Nurse, plays a critical role in our surgery center by caring for patients as they regain consciousness after surgery or other perioperative procedures requiring anesthesia. PACU RNs are essential in ensuring a safe recovery from anesthesia, addressing any complications promptly, and supporting patients through the critical early stages of postoperative or perioperative care.

Responsibilities:**If you have at least one year of experience in the Perioperative area of the operating room as a Circulator, OR Nurse, PACU Nurse or Surgical Nurse you are encouraged to apply!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Monitor vital signs and detect early complications
- Manage pain and administer medications
- Ensure airway patency and address respiratory issues
- Assess consciousness and neurological status
- Inspect surgical sites and manage wounds
- Provide comfort and update families
- Communicate with care team
- Document care and interventions
- Deliver discharge instructions
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS (AHA or ARC) certificate upon hire and maintained current.
- Current ACLS (AHA or ARC) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintained.
- Current PALS (AHA or ARC) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintained.
- Previous critical care or PACU hospital experience or a minimum of one year of OTJ training.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
