Senior Adhesive Engineer - Manufacturing Medical Device
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Adhesive Engineer to join our innovative team. The candidate will have extensive experience in adhesives, performance testing, and application development across industries. This is a leadership role that involves guiding projects, mentoring engineers, and driving the development of sophisticated adhesive solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and coordinate adhesive application processes in accordance with established quality and safety standards.
- Supervise production activities to ensure consistency to specifications and optimal use of adhesive materials.
- Train and mentor production staff on adhesive handling, application techniques, and quality control practices.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to adhesive application, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of completed work to assess quality and solve any issues related to adhesive performance.
- Collaborate with quality assurance, production, and engineering teams to develop and implement improvements in adhesive application processes.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including adhesive usage, waste, and downtime, and prepare reports for management review.
- Stay ahead of with advancements in adhesive technologies and industry standard processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is desired.
- Proven experience in adhesive application or related manufacturing processes, with supervisory experience being a plus.
- Strong understanding of adhesive properties, application methods, and quality control processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in specific industries such as Medical Device or Automotive.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and safety protocols related to adhesive applications.
- Familiarity with industry standards and testing methods (e.g., ASTM, ISO) related to adhesives
- Proficiency in production management software and quality control tools.
