What a Typical Day Could Look Like

As a Senior Service Manager, every day will be a dynamic blend of leadership, mentorship, and technical expertise. You'll be the captain of the maintenance ship, guiding your teams through the challenges and triumphs of keeping our communities in top-notch condition. You'll work closely with Service Managers, Assistant Service Managers, and Service Technicians, providing support, training, and motivation to ensure that our residents are always met with exceptional service.

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of your maintenance dream teams, including Service Managers, Assistant Service Managers, Service Technicians, and Senior Service Technicians.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs that would make a fortune teller proud, ensuring the long-term value and efficiency of every system and piece of equipment.
• You are the Operations Pro!
• Manage the maintenance budgets for your properties with the shrewdness of a Wall Street wizard, tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. 
• Oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring that your property is a shining example of quality and functionality.
• You are the Relationship Expert!
• Work closely with and maintain excellent communication with Community Directors, Regional Facilities Coordinators, and other key stakeholders for all team updates, schedule changes, vendor and inventory invoicing, and more!
• Set the standard for prompt, courteous, and efficient service by completing all service requests in a timely and professional manner!

Requirements

Key Skills and Abilities Needed to Succeed in This Role:

• A minimum of 7-8 years of experience in apartment home repair, including advanced knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair.    
• Proven experience in managing and leading a team of maintenance professionals across multiple properties.    
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.    
• EPA and HVAC certifications are required.    
• Must have in-depth knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations.    
• Must have excellent customer service and a positive resident experience focused mentality.    
• Should be able to work a flex schedule if necessary and willing to be on-call for emergencies.
• Valid driver's license with no major infractions in the last 12 months.
