3D Systems is seeking an experienced and motivated Overnight Production & Post-Processing Supervisor to lead our production teams at our Littleton, CO facility during overnight operations (10pm-7am). You'll guide technicians and operators as they transform printed products into their final form, playing a critical role in ensuring production schedules are met with safety, quality, and efficiency while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture. What You Will Do
- Lead Production Teams: Supervise overnight shift teams (approximately 4 employees) across production and post-processing operations, providing hands-on leadership and direction
- Develop Your Team: Train, coach, and mentor team members and Team Leads to achieve their full potential while ensuring adherence to PPE requirements, 6S processes, and workmanship standards
- Drive Performance: Hold teams accountable for achieving daily, weekly, and monthly production and revenue targets while maintaining the highest quality standards
- Build Culture: Foster a positive, inclusive work environment that prioritizes safety, accountability, teamwork, and employee recognition
- Champion Continuous Improvement: Lead improvement initiatives that drive efficiency gains while maintaining strict quality standards for regulated medical device manufacturing
- Make Critical Decisions: Exercise autonomous decision-making authority for day-to-day operations, especially during off-hours when senior leadership is unavailable
- Ensure Safety & Compliance: Oversee proper use of respiratory protection equipment (Full Face, Half Face, and powered air-purifying respirators) for metal powder exposure, including coordination of fit testing and recertification.
- Maintain Quality Standards: Proactively identify and escalate non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and cultivate a culture of compliance and safety excellence
- Excel in Communication: Deliver seamless shift handoffs with clear, effective communication and ensure diligent adherence to all process timing requirements.
- Thrive on the Night Shift: Lead Monday–Friday overnight operations (10:00 pm - 7:00 am) - perfect for night owls who excel when the world sleeps
Comprehensive Training Program: Participate in daytime training on either 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) or 2nd shift (1pm-9:30pm) during your initial onboarding period
What You Will Bring
- Educational Foundation: High School Diploma or GED required
- Proven Leadership Excellence: Seasoned and experienced leader with a demonstrated track record of success in supervisory roles, preferably in machine shop, medical device, parts finishing, or similar precision manufacturing environments
- Team Development Expertise: Exceptional ability to manage, motivate, and develop high-performing teams across multiple shifts while driving results
- Quality-Focused Mindset: Meticulous attention to detail with unwavering commitment to quality standards in highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Strategic Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset that drives operational excellence
- Communication Mastery: Outstanding verbal and interpersonal skills to build collaboration across shifts and ensure flawless communication during critical handoffs
- Schedule Flexibility: Availability for Monday–Friday overnight operations with adaptability for work over 40-hours and occasional shift extensions as business needs require
- Specialized Manufacturing: This position serves the Manufacturing Group, which includes the need to work on export-controlled products from aerospace and defense customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Education: Associate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field
- Additive Manufacturing Experience: Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing technologies and 3D printing processes
- Medical Device Background: Experience in medical device manufacturing with knowledge of FDA regulations and quality standards
- Lean Manufacturing Expertise: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Yellow Belt certification with demonstrated application of continuous improvement methodologies
