The Cincinnati Insurance Companies’ Pricing & Predictive Analytics and Corporate Actuarial departments are currently seeking graduate-level Actuarial Intern(s). This role is intended for students who have earned a bachelor’s degree and are currently enrolled in a master’s program.  Our successful candidate(s) will want to gain meaningful work experience with us for Summer 2026 at our corporate headquarters located in Fairfield, OH. 

Hybrid work options are available in select departments at our Headquarters located in Fairfield, Ohio. Eligibility may vary based on your role, responsibilities, and departmental policies.

We are looking for highly talented graduate students who are interested in learning new things and can contribute to a dynamic and broadly skilled actuarial department.  This is an opportunity to work with experienced professionals, to learn about the property/casualty actuarial profession, and to build connections that may lead to future job prospects.

Starting Pay: Begins at $25 per hour and is based on the applicant’s education, experience, completed exams, knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Interns for this role may be eligible for housing assistance, based on approved criteria.

Candidates should have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time. Our company is currently not hiring interns for this role if they will need sponsorship in the future.

Be equipped with/to: 

·        interest in Property and Casualty insurance

·        strong work ethic and commitment to learning new things

·        strong communication (written and oral), interpersonal, and organizational skills

·        assess model performance and recommending/implementing improvements

·        assist with model deployment and delivery of results

·        interact with actuaries and company management

·        interact with several departments within the company, including Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, Claims, and IT

Requirements:

·        enrolled in a master’s program in a quantitative field of study at an accredited college/university

·        have earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, physics, engineering, actuarial science, or related quantitative field of study

·        collegiate transcripts required with submission of candidate profile (unofficial are acceptable)

·        in good academic standing (cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher preferred)

·        preferred candidates will have passed at least one actuarial exam (P&C)

·        must be able to work up to 40 hours per week

·        proficient in Microsoft® Office tools (specifically Excel) and one or more of – R, SQL, SAS, and related software
