Position Summary:
The Service Porter’s main responsibility is to ensure that equipment needing service is quickly and effectively transported within the service division or other divisions of Russo Power Equipment so that the customer’s equipment may be completed and returned in an efficient manner.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Greet customers and help unload incoming machines
Assembling the “To-be-completed” lineup of equipment
Checking/cleaning completed machines
Organizing/maintaining the complete/to-be-completed/estimate areas of the shop, transporting equipment to other departments when necessary (i.e. logistics, sales, e-commerce sales, etc.)
Check customer tickets at time of pick up
Matching tag numbers to all work orders and checking work orders for notes
Assisting walk-in traffic and ensuring the customer’s needs are being met to the fullest of his/her ability
Maintain a clean and safe work environment within department
Help customers load machines into trailers and trucks
Assist warehouse with shipments and deliveries
Follows proper safety procedures and standards
Other tasks as defined by management
Qualifications...
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The ability to take direction and think on your feet
Ability to drive forklift
Knowledge of landscape equipment
Require little supervision to stay on task
Self starter and motivated
Ability to lift heavy objects 40-50 lbs
Bilingual, English/Spanish is a plus
Credentials and Experience:
No previous experience necessary
