Technical Lead - AI & Automation

Do you thrive at the forefront of AI innovation and enterprise automation? At SKF Automotive’s Data Factory, we’re looking for a Technical Lead who combines visionary thinking with hands-on execution to shape the future of intelligent automation. In this role, you will architect and deliver AI-powered solutions using Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and advanced ML technologies.
You’ll build scalable agentic automation frameworks, lead strategic initiatives, and drive adoption across the organization. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll define governance models, foster innovation, and ensure compliance with security and data standards. This is a key role in transforming how we work through AI-driven process integration and intelligent data workflows.
What you can expect in the role

Own the roadmap for AI and automation, focusing on process integration and intelligent data workflows.

Design agentic systems that simplify complexity and empower non-technical users to automate and gain insights.

Build a strong internal community around agentic AI, offering training, reference architectures, and solution designs.

Manage commercial aspects of automation platforms, including cost optimization, ROI tracking, and performance monitoring.

Establish and enforce responsible AI practices, governance and ethics frameworks in collaboration with security and compliance teams to organizational security requirements and policies.

Architect scalable agentic AI systems that support autonomous decision-making and integrate with enterprise data.

Combine rule-based automation with generative AI to create adaptive, intelligent workflows.

Orchestrate and integrate controlled automation workflows (e.g., scripting, rule-based processes) with generative AI approaches (non-deterministic workflows), ensuring seamless synergy between deterministic and adaptive automation solutions

Enable natural language interaction with enterprise data through tools like Copilot Studio and govern conversational agents.

Develop metadata-aware AI agents that improve data integration, traceability, and context-awareness.

Mentor technical teams and collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and IT teams to align agentic AI delivery with strategic goals.
We expect you to have

Academic background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Several years of experience in automation, AI/ML development, or technical leadership roles.

Hands-on experience with Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, or similar platforms.

Experience building production-ready GenAI solutions using LLMs such as Azure OpenAI or Databricks.

Knowledge of agentic AI architectures, including RAG, memory systems, and multi-agent orchestration.

Familiarity with federation frameworks and protocols (e.g., MCP, ACP, Agent2Agent) for enabling secure, scalable, and interoperable multi-agent systems.

Strong understanding of cloud architecture, data engineering workflows, and enterprise systems.

Prior experience working in ML / AIOps.

Familiarity with cloud data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks etc

Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver high-impact solutions in cross-functional environments.

This role can be located at any of SKF Automotive's sites globally, and the preferred locations is Gothenburg - Sweden, Bangalore - India.
