Position Summary:
The Network Administrator is our Tier 3 front-line role, responsible for engaging critical thinking and problem solving for a vast range of network and voice related technology issues across multiple partner environments. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting hardware, software and dependent technologies that ensure security and stability of services for a 7x24x365 enterprise. This role requires a very strong understanding of network connectivity and routing technologies, excellent team communication and collaboration skills and an appreciation of the importance of change management and process accounting. Bring strong hands-on experience of fundamentals and a passionate desire to learn new and changing technologies. Know your way around Data Center Networks, SDWAN, Routing (including BGP), Wireless, Firewalls and Security Appliances, VOIP and Cloud Managed Services.
Primary Responsibilities, Essential Functions and Requirements:
- Coordinate, plan, and execute change management activities during evenings, weekends or as required.
- Manage trouble ticket queues for network, voice, and related issues.
- Troubleshoot internal and customer network issues related to Collegis managed infrastructures.
- Work seamlessly with 3rd party vendors for troubleshooting and escalation of tickets.
- On-call duties on a rotation basis.
- Provide configuration management of infrastructure devices in support of upgrades and customer requests under the direction of the Network Engineers.
- Perform regular maintenance, software, and firmware updates to infrastructure devices.
- Create and manage documentation of system configurations and technical standards as defined by the Network Engineers.
- Assist the Network Engineers in research and development tasks and identifying and evaluating new products and solutions for partners.
- Have and maintain a working knowledge of configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting technologies including but not limited to the following:
- Arista, Cisco, Extreme and HP/Aruba/Juniper Switching Technology
- Cisco, Extreme and HP/Aruba/Juniper Routing Technology
- Arista, Extreme, Aruba and Meraki Wireless Technology
- Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto and Sophos Security Technology
- A10 and F5 Load Balancer Technology
- Cisco, Microsoft and Cloud VoIP and SIP technology
Experience and Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Network and Telephony protocols, including but not limited to IP, BGP and SIP.
- Experience with security configurations such as ACLs, Policy Maps, NAT configuration, Packet Tracing/Wireshark and Syslog analytics and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with load balancing technologies, experience with A10 preferred.
- Working knowledge of wireless protocols, configuration and troubleshooting in an enterprise environment.
- Comfortable building relationships, initiating contact and conversations with individuals throughout the company while pursuing project or troubleshooting goals.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products for documentation and business communications, including experience with Microsoft Visio.
- Strong Verbal and Written communication skills.

- Report any security related issues to the appropriate individuals
- Reduce risk of theft, fraud, or misuse of information assets by maintaining security and patch management for the networking devices you administer
Education, Certifications and Licensures:
- Technical Certifications or a degree in network technologies is a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Degree in IT or related technology field preferred.
- Hold or in process of obtaining CCNA or equivalent level Network Certifications.
