Job Responsibilities
- Organize and manage maintenance projects including upgrades, renovations, capital improvements and daily maintenance. Scope may include plumbing, electrical and other critical infrastructure
- Develop details and a plan for each project
- Coordinate with employees, contractors, vendors, company leaders and owners
- Monitor project progress, making adjustments as needed to ensure successful completion. This may require the use of technology and on-site visits including travel to various parts of MN and WI.
- Evaluate projects for efficiency, cost effectiveness, proper repair and timeliness, making recommendations and changes as needed
- Ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule
- Consult experts and provide technical expertise as necessary
- Communicate with residents, contractors, owners and employees regarding repairs, using excellent customer service
- Promote safety and be efficient in work practices
- Special projects as assigned by Maintenance Director or ownership

Skills and Expectations
- Must have mechanical and facilities background
- Multi-housing experience is preferred
- Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with employees, residents and vendors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Proficient in MS Office and able to learn and use several other computer programs effectively
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds regularly
- Must hold a valid driver’s license, maintain current automobile insurance as required, and demonstrate the ability to consistently meet these qualifications.
- Have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Have the ability to stand, lift and bend for up to 8 hours (with breaks) in hot/cold and wet environments
- Have the ability to ascend and descend several flights of stairs throughout the course of the work day
- Thorough knowledge of job hazards and applicable safety precautions to complete work in the safest manner possible
- Able to maintain regular on-site attendance
