The Luxury Resort Restaurant Host plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by welcoming, seating, and managing reservations for guests in an upscale dining environment. The host ensures smooth restaurant operations while maintaining high standards of hospitality and service, reflective of the luxury resort’s brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting Guests: Warmly welcome all guests with a professional demeanor, creating a first-class experience from the moment they arrive.
  • Managing Reservations: Use reservation systems to schedule and manage guest bookings, ensuring proper table assignments and handling special requests.
  • Seating Arrangements: Coordinate seating plans and manage the dining room flow, balancing customer preferences and restaurant capacity to optimize guest comfort and service efficiency.
  • Customer Interaction: Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, or the resort, and provide personalized recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
  • Communication: Liaise with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure a smooth flow of service and accommodate any special needs or requests from guests.
  • Problem Resolution: Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring issues are resolved to the satisfaction of the guest.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the reception area, dining room, and all front-of-house areas are clean, well-organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Upselling: Promote special events, seasonal dishes, or exclusive resort offerings to enhance the guest experience and increase restaurant revenue.
  • Guest Relations: Build rapport with repeat customers and VIP guests, offering personalized attention and maintaining high guest satisfaction levels.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Prior experience as a restaurant host in a luxury resort, fine dining establishment, or upscale hospitality environment.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge of reservation management software (e.g., OpenTable)
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
    • Professional appearance and etiquette
  • Languages: Fluency in English is require
  • Personality: A warm, outgoing personality with a passion for hospitality and guest service.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
