As a Field Specialist at Weatherford, you'll apply technical expertise to deliver critical oil and gas services across various product lines. Senior specialists leverage extensive field knowledge to optimize product quality, improve procedures, and support research initiatives. All Field Specialists, regardless of level, contribute to Weatherford's commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence while building strong client relationships that drive business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion Weatherford's "Rules to Live By" and maintain the highest standards of safety, security, and environmental protection
  • Actively participate in safety meetings, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and promptly report any issues
  • Demonstrate safety leadership and continuously seek improvements in HSE practices
  • Execute wellsite operations including equipment preparation, mobilization, job execution, and documentation
  • Monitor and analyze data to recommend optimal service solutions to clients
  • Test, operate, and maintain specialized tools and equipment according to established procedures
  • Respond to client needs on a 24-hour call basis
  • Manage inventory and supplies required at wellsites
  • Participate in equipment failure investigations and root cause analysis
  • Serve as the key client interface at wellsites, managing Weatherford personnel and operations
  • Perform engineering calculations and software computations based on real-time field data
  • Lead installation of complex equipment and services
  • Mentor junior specialists and provide technical guidance
  • Interpret technical data for client representatives to optimize service delivery
  • Maintain exceptional service quality and actively contribute to Weatherford's Management System
  • Develop and nurture positive client relationships to ensure repeat business
  • Maintain effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Complete comprehensive job documentation for successful client invoicing

 

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • High School Diploma
  • Technical Certificate from an accredited Technical/Vocational School
  • Fundamentals of mechanics, electricity, electronics, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Applied mathematics and basic physics/chemistry principles
  • Computer fundamentals and industry-specific software applications
  • Quality control analysis and service orientation
  • Complex problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong technical troubleshooting capabilities
  • Effective time management and decision-making skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to visualize mechanical assemblies and modifications
  • Physical capability to perform required field tasks

 

Travel Requirement: This role requires domestic and potentially international travel of up to 50-75%
