Overview:
As the Assistant Residence Manager, you'll play a vital role in creating a supportive and nurturing environment for our residents. You'll ensure the residence operates seamlessly, aligning with each individual's habilitation plan and necessary support. Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in related field preferred, minimum of 60 college credits.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the I/DD field.
- Knowledge of OPWDD regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies in a professional manner.
- Driver’s License: A valid and clean New York State driver’s license is required.
- Familiarity with eVero, ADP, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Daily standing, bending and lifting

Paid Time Off:
- Up to 80 hours of vacation during the first calendar year of employment. Employees accrue an additional 8 vacation hours each subsequent calendar year, up to a maximum of 120 hours.

Pay: $20.73/hr. - $22.81/hr.
What You Will Do:
- Assist in the daily operations of the residence, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, agency policies, and quality programs.
- Oversee individuals' personal allowances, bank accounts, and financial records.
- Monitor medication administration to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Promote the health, well-being, and personal choice of individuals.
- Assist in the training, supervision, and evaluation of all assigned direct care staff.
- Assist the manager in creating and maintaining weekly staff schedules.
- Oversee all program documentation.
- Perform duties of a direct support professional as needed.
- Complete incident reports as required.
- Proactively communicate with families to provide updates on the individuals within the residence
Work Location: Dix Hills, NY (Suffolk County).
Work Hours/Schedule:
Full-time (40 hours per week)
Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Wednesday & Thursday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Friday & Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Days Off: Sunday and Monday
*Accessible by phone outside of regular hours to respond to questions and address urgent incidents as needed
