As part of our evolving strategy, we’re looking for a Tendering Engineer to join our front-end operations team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across a variety of projects — from fast-turnaround quotes to complex, multi-disciplinary tenders — and thrives in a technically driven, commercially focused environment.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate and timely quotations for a wide range of pump solutions.
- Prepare detailed tenders for complex projects, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and Sulzer’s commercial strategy.
- Collaborate with engineering, hydraulics, costing, and sales teams to develop competitive and technically sound proposals.
- Apply pricing strategies and commercial terms that balance competitiveness with profitability.
- Support contract reviews and negotiations, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines.
- Assist in the smooth handover of successful tenders to project delivery teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the tendering function.
What You Bring
- Experience in the pump industry or a closely related engineering field.
- Proven ability to manage both high-volume quoting and complex, high-value tenders.
- Strong technical and commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of pricing strategies, contract terms, and margin protection.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to act independently, manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions under pressure.
